Lately I discovered, that Fedora had a new big update and was about to try out the new Fedora 26 Live Distribution on an Acer Aspire E5-771G.
Unfortunately during the boot the OS got frozen, right after the message “Started User Manager for UID 1000“.
The temporary solution for the boot error is fairly simple…
It seems, that the problem occurs because of faulty graphic drivers or outdated BIOS firmware…
Although, after I updated the firmware of the Acer Aspire E5-771G it didn’t help and I continued with the following method:
In GRUB (before the operating system is booting) you need to navigate to the entry “Troubleshoot” and press enter.
An other menu will open and you should boot the linux distribution in “Basic Graphics Mode”.
This should fix the booting for now…
